State Partnerships
The Hope Center for Student Basic Needs has worked with states including Michigan and New Jersey to support students' basic needs security.
The Hope Center partnered with The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to support students persistence and completion of credentials of value leading to successful career and labor market outcomes.
The Prentice Farrar Brown and Alline Ford Foundation provided funding for Texas community colleges to participate in Hope Impact Partnerships and receive training, technical assistance, data collection, coaching, and learning community experiences to enhance their student supports for meeting basic needs.
Through funding from the Joyce Foundation, The Hope Center for Student Basic Needs partnered with The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) and the Michigan Community College Association to assemble a task force to better understand basic needs insecurity is affecting Michigan's college students.
We are creating a compendium of recommendations and lessons learned to support states as they begin to explore the legislative, policy, and other statewide, systemic actions they can take to eliminate basic needs insecurity as a barrier to students’ educational attainment.
