Sheniqua is an applied developmental psychologist, researcher, and evaluator with over 10 years of experience using mixed-methods research to translate data into actionable insights that inform practice, policy, and program improvement. Guided by a commitment to transforming education through equity-centered research, her work spans early childhood through postsecondary contexts across nonprofit, academic, and philanthropic organizations. Her research focuses on how structural and contextual factors shape educational experiences and opportunities. Most recently, her dissertation examined how teacher–child racial match supports children’s academic and social-emotional development, with strong benefits for Black children. Outside of work, Sheniqua enjoys book club discussions, convincing others of the joys of cruise life, and sharing stories about places she’s traveled—or hopes to explore next!
